About Us
Originally birthed as a school project, ten years later Apologetics.com stands as a ministry whose heart's desire is to spread a passionate defense of the truth claims of Christianity!
Consider this place a home – a home where you will meet, debate with, learn from, and interact with real life "staff apologists". Find yourselves in the company of family by requesting a speaker or attending one of our regional conferences. Dialogue and discover truths as we engage in the everyday cultural waves of thought and the intellectual waters of philosophical inquiry by plugging in to our discussion boards or calling in to our weekly live radio shows. And finally, grow and partner with our group by donating to our non-profit organization and sending us your feedback on all that we do.
We at Apologetics.com thank you for taking the time to journey with us on this road called life, where we look and labor for glimpses of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful – which ultimately lead us to the Creator of all that which is Good, True, and Beautiful!
Mission Statement
Apologetics.com exists to remove intellectual impediments to Christian faith, thereby enhancing believers' confidence in, and weakening skeptics' objections to, the gospel message.
The ministry of Apologetics.com has become an important part of the movement in Christian thought, philosophy, and apologetics in Southern California. They have a first-rank interactive website and a radio program through which they are proclaiming and defending the great truths of the Christian faith with "reverence and respect." They are making an impact!
Craig J. Hazen
Editor of Philosophia Christi
Director, Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics
Associate Professor of Comparative Religion and Apologetics, Biola University
Vision Statement
Apologetics.com aspires to provide first-rate Christian apologetics resources and training to the public through our website, radio broadcasts, publications, and related activities.
Doctrinal Statement
Apologetics.com recognizes the 66 books of the Protestant canon of the Bible as the only infallible rule of faith and practice. However, we also recognize the following post-biblical creeds and confessions as valuable and faithful though not infallible, expressions of Christian orthodoxy.
Other early church creeds and conciliar statements relevant to Christian orthodoxy may be profitably consulted, but we do not include them as part of our doctrinal standards. We also recognize the following modern, international, and interdenominational statements as paradigmatic expressions of evangelicalism.
- The World Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith (1951)
- The Lausanne Covenant (1974)
- The Manila Manifesto (1989)
Other modern confessions, statements of faith, and definitions relevant to evangelicalism may be profitably consulted, but we do not include them as part of our doctrinal standards.
I heartedly endorse Apologetics.com. It is a quick, convenient and yet deep resource for anyone interested in defending the truth of Christianity. It is changing the way people respond to non-believers.

Lindsay Brooks
Lindsay Brooks is the Apologetics.com discussion board moderator and co-host of the Apologetics.com Radio Show.
A graduate of Musician’s Institute, he is a former songwriter/producer for legendary Motown music publisher, Jobete, and has done music for several major motion pictures. His passions for Theology, Church History and Philosophy have been focused through his love of music, resulting in a robust music ministry at several churches in the Los Angeles area.
Lindsay’s desire to share insights into the Christian aesthetic in light of new challenges—such as post-modernism and relativism—was a driving force behind establishing the Apologetics.com Life of the Mind Conference series. A profound love of the Gospel has led him to actively pursue alternative evangelization modes. Lindsay is a frequent public speaker on the subject of Christian Apologetics and has developed a workshop on the co-linguistics of music and its application to Christian liturgy.
He is Daddy to Tinisha and Gabrielle who are plotting to take over the world.
Harry Edwards
Harry Edwards has been married for almost fifteen years to Minerva. They have two young boys, Chase & Jonathan, who love to play with Legos and run around the house pretending to be super heroes. He is the founder, chairman and CEO of Apologetics.com, Inc., an organization dedicated to defending the truth claims of Christianity on the internet, radio and other related activities.
Harry Edwards received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education and a Masters of Arts degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University where he currently works full time managing the campus bookstore. He is an active member at Ocean View Baptist Church where he teaches in the adult Sunday school and leads and plays the drums for the praise and worship band. In his spare time, Harry enjoys doing things with his family, i.e., tennis, backpacking and mentoring others to realize their full potential in the service of our Lord.
Jack Gibson
Jack Gibson has been married to his wife Marilyn since 1997. He has four degrees from Biola University: B.A. in Biblical Studies and History, M.Div. in Pastoral Studies, M.A. in Christian Apologetics, and Th.M. in New Testament. He also has a doctorate in New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has taught Bible at Christian high schools for nine years and at Hope International University and Lancaster Bible College for five years. He also teaches several adult Bible courses at Riverview Evangelical Free Church in Bonsall, CA.
Paul Hughes
… now we are six. Paul is married to Michele; they have four children. He earned the master’s in Christian apologetics at Biola and two others, in fine arts and English, from Chapman University — thereby becoming a living caution to the danger of over-education. He’s taught in many areas, from critical thinking to creative writing, which suggests how he ‘does’ apologetics, as the youth say these days. He’s a writer in Orange County. His fascinations include love, vision, story, and baseball, and consequently he has projects in many stages of incompletion on those very ideas. Paul’s trying to be quieter these days, and you shouldn’t unduly charm co-workers, so please try not to read his blog posts aloud.

Christopher Neiswonger
Christopher Neiswonger is a long time host of the Apologetics.com Radio Show. His interest in Apologetics was born of his own deeply personal questions about the nature of God and the content of the Bible. It seems that the most important question a human being can ask is, “How can we know?” Christopher received his Juris Doctor from Trinity Law School, an MA in Communication and Culture from Trinity Graduate School and is currently pursuing an MBA in International Development (he works for one of the world’s largest advocacy, relief, and development NGOs). He has twice received the highest honours from the Los Angeles Music Awards and twice been nominated for Dove awards by the Gospel Music Association. Andy Steiger
Andy Steiger has a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a Masters Degree in Apologetics at Biola University. Although he is originally from Portland, Oregon he has been living and serving in Vancouver, British Columbia. He first came to Canada to complete his B.A. in Biblical Studies. Upon completion he worked for 7 years as a Youth and College Pastor. He met his wife Nancy in college. They have 2 boys Tristan and William. Andy and Nancy love serving in missions and in the church. They love ministry, adventure and people. As newlyweds, they traveled the world for over a year with just a backpack and $30 a day. Thus far in their married life they have traveled and served in over 30 countries. Not only did they learn a lot about each other through those adventures but about people and God. In fact, Andy feels that much of his education in apologetics has been learned through ministry and travel. That all said, the most important thing in Andy's life is his relationship with Jesus Christ. At age 17 he stopped fighting his belief in God and began to seek out who this God is. A short time later, he found Jesus Christ and has enjoyed the adventure of following Jesus ever since. Andy is the director of Apologetics Canada (a ministry of apologetics.com) based in Vancouver, BC Canada. www.apologeticscanada.ca.
Steve Tsai
Steve graduated from Biola university with a bachelors degree in communications and a masters degree in philosophy. He currently is a host for the apologetic.com radio show, and enjoys speaking to high-schoolers and collegians about the deeper questions in life. His apologetic method is eclectic, and his philosophical interests include philosophical theology, philosophy of mind, and free will and determinism issues. He currently resides in Bellflower, California.
Sam Welbaum
Sam Welbaum's interest in apologetics started early in life when his Mom told him that "You have to know both sides of an issue in order to understand it." He took it to heart and made the "Compact Guide to World Religions" is silent reading book in 6th grade (unless it was Fridays, in which case it was either X-Men or Batman). His interest continued through High School when he got involved in counter cult ministries and started working at the Christian Research Institute. From there he went on to study Philosophy and Christian Studies at California Baptist University. He presently holds an MA in Christian Apologetics from Biola University, a Masters of Theological Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and is working on PhD in Philosophy of Religion and Theology at Claremont Graduate University.
In addition to serving with Apologetics.com, Sam is presently the Youth Pastor at Shoreline Baptist Church in Fountain Valley, California and a prep school teacher. In the past he has had the pleasure of teaching both philosophy and Koine Greek at the college level, and looks forward to teaching at that level again soon. In his spare time Sam likes to play board games, discover new hot sauces, watch a comedy or two....and still read Batman and X-Men comic books.
